Foggy Discernment

The downside in getting too close to people is you find out their personal desires and this causes foggy discernment. Meaning… you may have difficulty speaking into their lives because your heart gets in the way of your hearing from God. Key to prophets: choose wisely whom you will be close to and know there will be few.

Platforms, doorways...

This came one day last week at 4:15 a.m. and I wasn’t going to share it until I heard Pastor Rod Parsley yesterday morning saying, “The word isn’t just for one person!”  I knew He was talking to me.  Here it is… There are platforms, doorways, alliances, million dollar ideas and honor being bestowed upon the believers of Jesus Christ.  Key:  you need to be ready!  If you sing, increase your rehearsal time; if you write, carry a recorder or pen and paper everywhere;  if you are a business person get your company operation and finances in order; if you preach or are a public speaker get some sermons/speeches ready and in your heart and mind so they flow from your inner being; if you need a job, get up early seek the Lord, volunteer and pay your tithe and offerings; if you have been overlooked and treated poorly, then be humble and upright of good report because honor is coming to you.  Remember this… Prayer is of utmost importance, also being of godly character so you won’t be passed.  Be careful, the person that looks like a bum could be a billionaire or better yet an angel from God.

Promote!

Do you ever “decide” to hold some information, try to keep someone “in their place” or refuse to promote your co-leaders because you feel it will diminish you?  Key:  If you promote others God will promote you.  It’s the same law as sowing and reaping, as in the tithe and offering.  It’s the same thing Zig Ziglar says, “What you make happen for others God will make happen for you!”  We need to get past the personal thoughts and issues of “what about me” or “am I sure I want to tell her how great she is, she might leave” or “if I tell our leader she did that great thing where will that leave me?”  All of us have these humanly selfish thoughts.  We have to think beyond what we can do and get our mind on God’s purposes and plans.  I found myself witnessing an incredible ministry and had the opportunity to tell this person what I saw God doing through them.  Before I spoke to them something inside me said, “No, don’t tell them that, they can’t have that gift, that’s one of yours.”  I had to stop my fleshly voice and I immediately delivered the words to them.  I again realize how powerful words and thoughts are.  Take great care in dealing with people’s lives that you deal wisely but according to God’s desire for them.

Stop or Push?

We get to a point where we have to either stop and live where we are, or push hard and change to go to the next level.  Which will you do?  Will you challenge yourself almost to excruciating pain, financial drain and faith tests?  Or will you stop here and live at the level you are at, knowing that this is not your destiny but because of fear, lack of faith, strength and endurance you stop.

National Day of Prayer

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:6-7 New International Version, ©2011.

Willful Sins

Psalm 19:13 NIV 2011 states this... "Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me.  Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression."  What could a "willful sin" be?  When you know what to do and choose to do the opposite?  Perhaps when you rise in the morning and go to Facebook or Yahoo instead of BibleGateway.  Perhaps when you choose to complain to a friend about your problems instead of calling on the Lord.  Perhaps when you manipulate a situation thinking you are doing good when you know you should leave it in God's hands - He knows all.  I believe this is a quote from the bible we need to declare and decree over ourselves and families.  Like this... Lord, I declare and decree I will not give into "willful sins” they will not rule over me in Jesus name, amen.
